Hi, my name is Amanda and I am a wife, mother, and the owner of Amanda K Styling. Through my experiences in Houston, Texas, I have discovered that every client has a different destiny, dream, and vision. Possibilities are endless for your hair and appearance. It is my passion to bring each client’s aspirations to life by delivering unique creativity, boldness, and perfection to every custom color, cut, and natural-looking hair extensions.

Specializing in Natural Beaded RowTM (NBR) hair extensions, my clients’ have experienced added volume, length, and thickness. They walk away with beautiful, manageable, and natural-looking hair.

My overall goal is to make every person feel confident and more beautiful than ever before. With 16 years of hair experience I have made it my drive to discover the best hair extension method in the industry; A hair extension technique that looks the most natural with little to no hair damage. That’s when I learned about Danielle White and her hair extension techniques at DKW styling. It had the perfect blend of elegance, fullness, and texture that I have been looking for to bring back to my clients in Texas. While most hair extensions have a bad rap, NBR is focused on coloring and custom blending the hair to look seamlessly natural. By using their unique technique, the hair is attached in fewer areas therefore causing less damage. The hair is attached by a bead and string then multiple pieces are sewn onto the row. This creates volume and fullness without being able to tell they’re even there. NBR’s technique allows you the flexibility to put your hair up and/or style it and have confidence in yourself and your beautiful hair.

I have always been curious about hair extensions but was hesitant due to the damage that they may cause.  However, I was introduced to Natural Beaded Rows (NBR) extensions about a year ago and couldn’t be happier with the selection that I made.  I have always had thin hair and have never been able to grow my hair past a certain length.  Majority of the time, my hair would be pulled back in a ponytail because I didn’t like the way that it looked unless it was professionally done.  With NBR extensions, my hair is full, long and healthy and I absolutely love wearing it down.  There has been zero damage done to my actual hair.  Before and after pictures are taken every time the extensions are redone and I am shocked as to how much healthier my actual hair looks now than prior to starting NBR extensions.

I have been wearing NBR extensions for around two years or more.  Before I started using NBR, I had been using other types of extensions. My hair was in terrible shape. It is so amazing how much longer and healthier my real hair has become using NBR.  I love NBR extensions, because I get length, volume and the “feel” of real hair.  I can put my hair up , I can color my hair, I have even received keratin with my NBR extensions.  I do not have to replace them as often as I did with the other types. I am able to style my hair now in “more ways than just one”, like I was forced to do with my baby fine hair. I’m not from Houston.  It’s taken me TWO years to find someone I’m happy about! I’m very very picky about my hair and Amanda is amazing! Coloring, cutting, highlighting, color matching and most of all: HAIR EXTENSIONS! Natural beaded rows are my first time using anything but clip-ins, and I’m obsessed! I found Amanda by doing research on different types of hair extensions. Amanda is a rare find in the Houston area because she specializes in Natural Beaded Rows, a combination of beaded rows and a sewn-in weft that works well for fine hair like mine! Before calling Amanda, I saw pictures of her work and I knew I would be in good hands. She is totally worth the 45 minute drive from lake Conroe. I am so glad I found her! She is a miracle worker!

Not too long before I met Amanda, my hair was completely fried by an inexperienced colorist. I had pieces falling out of my hair! Throughout my road to hair-recovery I’ve tried other types of extensions, but I struggled with even more damage, hiding them when the wind blew…or when I wanted to put my hair up. I was constantly self-conscious about them. That’s not the case with Amanda’s NBR work. She does perfect color matching, placement and cut to make your hair look incredible!

I originally wanted the extensions for my wedding and honeymoon. After rocking my cut and highlight a few times, Amanda carefully helped me coordinate dates for the first placement and the move-ups of the NBR extensions during the wedding festivities. When she turned the chair around, my damaged, shoulder-length fine blonde hair had transformed into that beautiful Victoria’s Secret hair I always wanted! I was in shock. I couldn’t stop smiling! I loved all my bridal portrait pictures and wedding photos because I was able to wear my hair down and still feel beautiful. Did I mention Amanda did my hair and makeup for the wedding too?! Like I said- miracle worker.

My husband and I went to the Maldives for a beach honeymoon and I was able to snorkel and throw my hair up on the beach with no problem! The type of hair she uses dries naturally into the perfect beach wave. I could side-braid it for dinner, throw on some mascara and I was ready! My husband loves the long hair. It has definitely been worth every penny.
The hair has lasted so well after the wedding and I still get compliments on them every day. I’ll always appreciate Amanda and her eye for perfection. She’s always so easy to schedule with. Anything she does for you, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I have been wearing hair extensions off & on for ten years now and have tried every method from Great Lengths, Socaps, microlinks, & clip ins- you name it and I tried it.  I started reading about Natural Beaded Rows on Instagram and searched for a local stylist in Houston.  My first experience with another stylists was not that best and I came to Amanda needing a color correction and having my NBR fixed.

Since wearing NBR extensions by Amanda for over a year now, my hair has grown almost as long as the extensions and is a lot thicker than it was a year ago.  I find that they are easy to maintain and look a lot fuller.  I am active & workout so having extensions that I can just throw in a ponytail.  These are much healthier for my hair, less damaging, look fuller, and are less expensive than other methods I have tried.
