Our Guide to Beautiful Beach Waves…
Beach Waves…the perfect in-between tousled curl we all want to achieve! We are not gong to lie, it does take a little bit of practice to master this style of curl. BUT, below you will find a short tutorial video & a couple of our favorite products…and with those you will be achieving perfectly imperfect beach waves in no time!
Typically we recommend dirty hair when curling because it tends to hold the curls better. Although, almost always when we are curling clients hair it’s right after a fresh wash in the salon. So when curling your clean hair you’ll want to mimic the texture of dirty hair. We recommend spraying a texture spray lightly all over your hair prior to curling. We love Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray. It gives your hair the perfect amount of tackiness to hold your beach waves for days!
To achieve the beach wave you will also need the right curling iron. We LOVE the Bio Ionic 1″ or 1.25″. The 1″ is great for a slightly tighter curl/wave. We use this curling iron daily on all of our clients to achieve their beautiful beach waves. It has a long barrel, making it easier to achieve this style of curl.
To finish off your curls, we recommend Oribe’s Free Styler Working Hair Spray. It holds your waves intact without weighing them down!
