Wash…rinse..repeat!
One of the most frequently asked questions we get is “How often should I wash my hair with extensions?” Honestly there is no wrong or right answer to this. Some clients prefer to wash daily while others may choose to wash once a week. It is a personal preference, but there are some pros and cons to both.
Washing more frequently with extensions can be more time consuming. Also, with more frequent washing you can have increased product use. But, clean hair? AHHH you can’t complain about clean hair, it’s bar none one of the best feelings! Washing frequently also helps to avoid build up on the hair.
Washing less frequently can save you time. Less washing can also mean overall decreased heat exposure to the hair. With less heat exposure you can have extended life on the extension hair paired with proper care of course. Although, occasionally with less washes we do see product build up from overusing products like dry shampoo, etc to extend between washes.
Overall, like mentioned above there really is no wrong or right way. Find what works best for you and adjust as needed! And as always consult your stylist for expert advice and recommendations.
